Norfolk State University baseball player Cameron Parsons was the grand prize winner of a $10,000 scholarship in the Champs Sports Scholarship Challenge.

Parsons, a junior catcher, was one of three finalists invited to attend last week’s Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, Fla., which pitted Miami (Fla.) against Wisconsin. Norfolk State’s allotment of tickets for the 2010 MEAC Basketball Tournament is on sale now through the NSU Athletics Department. The 2010 MEAC Tournament runs March 9-13 at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C. Tournament books cost $75 and are on sale now through Friday, March 5 through the NSU Athletics Department. The seats are in Section 118, rows D-S.
